So he answered and said to his father, Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends.

But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.

And their scribes and the Pharisees murmured against His disciples, saying, Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?

The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, Behold, a glutton and a wino, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.

Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke within himself, saying, This man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner.

But when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.

And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?

saying, You went in to uncircumcised men and ate with them!

I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people.

But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; not even to eat with such a person.

for before certain men came from Jacob, he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision.
