So Haman came in, and the king said unto him, What shall be done for the man whom the king delights to honor? Now Haman thought in his heart, Whom would the king delight to honor more than myself?

And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delights to honor:

Let the royal apparel be brought which the king has worn, and a horse on which the king has ridden, and the royal crown which has been placed upon his head.
9
Then let this apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king's most noble rulers, that he may array the man whom the king delights to honor. Then have him ride on horseback through the city square, and proclaim before him: Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honor!
10
Then the king said to Haman, Hurry! Take the apparel and the horse, just as you have suggested, and do so for Mordecai the Jew who sits in the king's gate! Do not fail to do any of all that you have spoken.

So Haman took the apparel and the horse, arrayed Mordecai and led him on horseback through the city square, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honor!

Afterward Mordecai went back to the king's gate. But Haman hurried to his house, mourning and with his head covered.

(Behold, you are wiser than Daniel. There is no secret that can be hidden from you.

With your wisdom and your understanding you have gained riches for yourself, and gathered gold and silver into your treasuries;

by your great wisdom in trade you have increased your riches, and your heart is lifted up because of your riches).

Therefore thus says the Lord Jehovah: Because you have set your heart as the heart of God,

behold, therefore, I will bring strangers against you, the most terrifying of the nations; and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom, and defile your splendor.
8
They shall throw you down to the Pit, and you shall die the death of the slain in the midst of the seas.
9
Will you still think to say before him who slays you, I am God? But you are a man, and not a god, in the hand of him who slays you.
10
You shall die the death of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers; for I have spoken, says the Lord Jehovah.
Daniel 4:30-34

The king spoke and said, Is this not great Babylon that I have built for the house of the kingdom, by the might of my power, and for the honor of my majesty?
31
While the word was still in the king's mouth a voice fell from the heavens, saying, O King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is declared: The kingdom has been taken away from you!
32
And you shall be driven from men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field. You shall be fed with grass like oxen, and seven times shall pass over you until you know that the Most High is Ruler in the kingdom of men, and that He gives it to whomever He desires.
33
That very hour the word was fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar. And he was driven from men, and he ate grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of the heavens, until his hair had grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails like birds' claws.

And at the end of the days, I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes to the heavens, and my understanding returned to me, and I blessed the Most High. And I praised and honored Him who lives forever, whose dominion is an eternal dominion, and His rule from generation to generation.
