Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in Heaven that does not fail, where a thief does not come near nor moth destroys.

But woe to you who are rich, for you have received your consolation.

Israel empties his vine; he bears fruit for himself. According to the abundance of his fruit he has increased the altars. They have made beautiful images according to the goodness of his land.

Woe to him who robs unjust gain for his house, to set his nest on high, to be delivered from the hand of evil.

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves dig through and steal;

but lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not dig through and steal.

But according to your hardness and impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,

storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your calamities that are coming upon you.

Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days.

Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true?

as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share,

storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?

I know your works, affliction, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
