And He said to His disciples, Therefore I say to you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on.

And do not seek what you shall eat or what you shall drink, nor be agitated.

And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? For my master is taking the stewardship away from me. I am not able to dig; I am ashamed to beg.

Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

And he brought them out and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in Heaven that does not fail, where a thief does not come near nor moth destroys.

He answered and said to them, He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.

But rather give alms from what is within; and behold, all things are clean to you.

But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind.

And you will be blessed, because they do not have the means to repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just.

And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when it fails, they may receive you into eternal dwellings.

So when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, You still lack one thing. Sell everything that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in Heaven; and come, follow Me.

And he said to him, Well done, good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.

Give a share to seven, and also to eight; for you do not know what evil shall be on the earth.

Is it not to break your bread to the hungry, and that you should bring home the wandering poor? When you see the naked to cover him; and not hide yourself from your own flesh?

Give to him who asks of you, and from him who wants to borrow from you, do not turn away.

distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.

But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound for every good work.

Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for eating, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness,

For the ministry of this service not only supplies what is lacking to the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God,

and by their prayer for you, who long for you because of the surpassing grace of God in you.

Command those who are rich in this present age not to be high-minded, nor to trust in the uncertainty of riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.

By this we know the love of God, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
