For He taught His disciples and said to them, The Son of Man is being delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill Him. And after He is killed, He will rise the third day.

But they did not understand this word, and were afraid to ask Him.

Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and deliver Him to the Gentiles;

and they will mock Him, and scourge Him, and spit on Him, and kill Him. And the third day He will rise again.

From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that it was necessary for Him to go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.

And while they were staying in Galilee, Jesus said to them, The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men,

And Jesus, going up to Jerusalem, took the twelve disciples aside on the road and said to them,

and deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day He will rise again.

saying, The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.

Then He took the twelve aside and said to them, Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished.

They will scourge Him and kill Him. And the third day He will rise again.

He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee,

saying, The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and to enter into His glory?

Then He said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.

Have you not even read this Scripture: The stone which the builders rejected has become the head of the corner;

And Jehovah said to Samuel, Consent to the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, for Me to not reign over them.

But you have today rejected your God, who Himself delivered you out of all your adversities and your afflictions; and you have said to Him, No, set a king over us! Now therefore, present yourselves before Jehovah by your tribes and by your thousands.

The stone which the builders have rejected has become the Head of the corner.

He is despised and rejected by men; a Man of pain, and knowing infirmity; a hiding of faces; being despised, we have esteemed Him not.

Jesus said to them, Have you never read in the Scriptures: The stone which the builders rejected has become the head of the corner. This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes?

But first He must suffer many things and be rejected from this generation.

He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him; the Word that I speak will judge him in the Last Day.

The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Son Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had determined to set Him free.

and killed the Prince of Life, whom God raised up from the dead, of which we are witnesses.

This Moses whom they rejected, saying, Who made you a ruler and a judge? is the one God sent to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the Angel who appeared to him in the bush.

You stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always oppose the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you.

Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they, who received the Law by the command of angels and did not keep it, killed those who foretold the coming of the Just One,

After two days He will restore us to life. In the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live in His presence.

Now Jehovah had appointed a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

and that He was buried, and that He was raised the third day according to the Scriptures,
