And He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, Be silent! Be muzzled! And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.

The streams have lifted up, O Jehovah, the streams have lifted up their sound; the streams lift up their waves.

Jehovah on high is mightier than the sound of many waters, than the mighty breakers of the sea.

Then they cry out unto Jehovah in their adversity, and He brings them out of their distresses.

Then they are glad because they are quiet; so He guides them to their desired haven.

And He said to them, Why are you fearful, O you of little faith? Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

So the men marveled, saying, Of what sort is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?

And Peter answered Him and said, Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.

But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, Lord, save me!

And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.

And they came to Him and awoke Him, saying, Master, Master, we are perishing! Then He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm.

And He said to them, Where is your faith? And they were afraid, and marveled, saying to one another, Who can this be? For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him.

Then they willingly received Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land where they were going.

And they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, What is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.

And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, We never saw anything like this!

And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?

And immediately the girl arose and walked, for she was twelve years of age. And they were beside themselves with great amazement.

And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, He has done all things well. He makes both the deaf to hear and the mute to speak.
