Therefore thus says Jehovah concerning the men of Anathoth who seek your life, saying, Do not prophesy in the name of Jehovah, that you do not die by our hand.

For even your brothers and the house of your father, even they have dealt treacherously with you. Yea, they have called out a multitude after you. Do not believe them, though they speak pleasant things to you.

So they were offended in Him. But Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house.

And He said, Truly, I say to you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.

For Jesus Himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country.
