And when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him.

And, behold, a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep.

Now it happened, on a certain day, that He got into a boat with His disciples. And He said to them, Let us cross over to the other side of the lake. And they launched out.

But as they sailed He fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water, and were in peril.

And Jehovah said to Satan, Behold, all that he has is in your hand; only do not stretch forth your hand upon him. So Satan went out from the presence of Jehovah.

and suddenly a great wind came from across the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young people, and they are dead; and only I alone am escaped to tell you!

Those who go down to the sea in ships, who do business on great waters,

For He commands and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up the waves.

They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits' end.

He calms the storm, so that its waves are still.

Oh, that men would give thanks unto Jehovah for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the sons of men!

But Jehovah hurled a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that they thought the ship would break in pieces.

But not long after, a tempestuous wind arose, called Euroclydon.

And running under the shelter of an island called Clauda, we secured the boat with difficulty.

And because we were exceedingly tempest-tossed, the next day they lightened the ship.

Now when neither sun nor stars appeared for many days, and no small tempest beat on us, all hope that we would be saved was then taken away.

Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep;
