and saying, Repent, for the kingdom of Heaven has drawn near!

From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, Repent, for the kingdom of Heaven has drawn near.

He answered and said to them, Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of Heaven, but to them it has not been given.

Another parable He put forth to them, saying: The kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field,

Another parable He spoke to them: The kingdom of Heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till the whole was leavened.

Then He said, What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it?

Listen. Behold, a sower went out to sow.

And it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds of the air came and devoured it.

The sower sows the Word.

These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the Word, immediately receive it with joy;

And these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the Word,

But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the Word, receive it, and bear fruit: one thirtyfold, one sixty, and one a hundred.

The wicked does deceitful work, but one sowing righteousness receives honest wages.

He who watches the wind will not sow; and he who pays attention to the clouds will not reap.

In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening do not withhold your hand; for you do not know which shall be blessed, either this or that, or whether they both alike shall be good.

Does the plowman plow all day to sow? Does he loosen and harrow his ground?

For God instructs him to do right; and teaches him.

Blessed are you who sow beside all waters, who send free the feet of the ox and the ass.

And He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: Behold, a sower went out to sow.

Another parable He put forth to them, saying: The kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field;

A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it.

Now the parable is this: The seed is the Word of God.

And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.

I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.

Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it brings forth much fruit.

I planted, Apollos watered, but God made it grow.

Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

Moreover the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the Word of God which lives and abides forever,

but the Word of the Lord endures forever. Now this is the Word which by the gospel was preached to you.
