And all the land of Judea, and those from Jerusalem, went out to him and were all immersed by him in the Jordan River, confessing their sins.

And it was broken in that day, and so the poor of the flock who were watching Me knew that it was the Word of Jehovah.

And they came to John and said to him, Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you bore witness; behold, He is immersing, and everyone is coming to Him.

If we let Him alone like this, everyone will believe into Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and nation.

The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, You see that you are accomplishing nothing. Behold, the world has gone after Him!
