But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.

And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.

But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, O you of little faith, why do you reason among yourselves because you have brought no bread?

shall not God search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart.

You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thoughts afar off.

And immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, Why do you reason these things in your hearts?

And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread.

But Jesus, knowing, said to them, Why do you reason because you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive nor understand? Is your heart still hardened?

Shall we give, or shall we not give? But He, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, Why do you test Me? Bring Me a denarius that I may see it.

But knowing their thoughts, answering, Jesus said to them, Why are you reasoning in your hearts?

But He knew their thoughts, and said to the man who had the withered hand, Arise and stand in the middle. And he arose and stood.

And Jesus answered and said to him, Simon, I have something to say to you. So he said, Teacher, speak.

Then there began a reasoning among them as to which of them might be greater.

And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a little child and set him beside Himself,

But He, knowing their thoughts, said to them: Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided against a house falls.

But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew everyone,

and had no need that anyone should bear witness of man, for He knew what was in man.

When Jesus knew in Himself that His disciples murmured about this, He said to them, Does this offend you?

But there are some of you who do not believe. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who were not believing, and who would betray Him.

Now Jesus knew that they desired to ask Him, and He said to them, Do you seek answers among yourselves that I said, A little while, and you do not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me?

Now we are sure that You know all things, and have no need that anyone should question You. By this we believe that You came forth from God.

He said to him the third time, Simon, son of Jonah, are you deeply fond of Me? Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, Are you deeply fond of Me? And he said to Him, Lord, You discern all things; You know that I am deeply fond of You. Jesus said to him, Feed My sheep.

For the Word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

And there is no creature that is not revealed in His presence, but all things are naked and laid bare to the eyes of Him to whom we must give answer.

And I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the inner thoughts and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.

Thus says the Lord Jehovah: On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will devise an evil plan.

But Peter said, Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the proceeds of the land for yourself?

While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you put this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.

Then Peter said to her, How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.

But Peter said to him, Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money!

Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you.
