It is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher, and a servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more those of his household!

And those who passed by blasphemed Him, wagging their heads

Violent witnesses rose up; they asked of me things which I have not known.

Hear the Word of Jehovah, you who tremble at His Word: Your brothers who hated you, who cast you out because of My name, said, Let Jehovah be glorified. But He will appear for your joy, and they shall be ashamed.

For John the Immerser came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, He has a demon.

The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, Behold, a glutton and a wino, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.

Then they reviled him and said, You are His disciple, but we are Moses' disciples.

who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but gave Himself over to Him who judges righteously;

If you are reproached for the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. According to them He is blasphemed, but according to you He is glorified.

And you will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.

And you will be hated by everyone on account of My name. But he who endures to the end will be kept safe.

He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life on account of Me will find it.

And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.

Then they will deliver you up to affliction and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name.

Yet, for Your sake we are killed all day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.

and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when affliction or persecution arises on account of the Word, immediately they stumble.

For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it.

But take heed to yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be beaten in the synagogues. You will be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them.

And you will be hated by everyone on account of My name. But he who endures to the end shall be kept safe.

Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude you, and revile you, and cast out your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man.

For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life on account of Me will save it.

But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers on account of My name.

And you will be hated by all because of My name.

But all these things they will do to you on account of My name, because they do not know Him who sent Me.

For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name.

As it is written: For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

We are foolish because of Christ, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You are distinguished, but we are dishonored.

For we who live are always delivered to death because of Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.

and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored on account of My name and have not become weary.
