And they said to one another, Behold, this master of dreams is coming!

Come now therefore, let us kill him and cast him into a pit; and we will say, Some evil beast has devoured him. And we shall see what will become of his dreams!

And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.

and said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God and to build it in three days.

lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him,

saying, This man began to build and was not able to finish.

Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

But He was speaking of the temple of His body.

Now when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God!

And when the tempter came to Him, he said, If You are the Son of God, speak that these stones may become bread.

and says to Him, If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: He shall give His angels charge concerning you, and, in their hands they shall bear you up, that you may not dash your foot against a stone.

But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him, I adjure You by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God!

Jesus said to him, You said it. Nevertheless, I say to you, Hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.

A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. And He left them and departed.

But he said to him, If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one should rise from the dead.
