And all the people answered and said, His blood be on us and on our children.

And he said to his mother, The eleven hundred shekels of silver that were taken from you, and about which you had sworn an oath, even saying it in my ears; behold the silver is with me, I have taken it. And his mother said, Blessed of Jehovah are you, my son!

However, we cannot give them wives from our daughters, for the children of Israel have sworn, saying, Cursed is he who gives a wife to Benjamin.

And the men of Israel were distressed that day, for Saul had placed the people under oath, saying, Cursed is the man who eats food until evening, before I have taken vengeance on my enemies. So none of the people tasted food.

And when the people had come into the forest, there was the flowing honey; but no one put his hand to his mouth, for the people feared the oath.

Then one of the people said, Your father adjured the people with an oath, saying, Cursed is the man who eats food this day. And the people were faint.

Then he began to curse and swear, I do not know this man of whom you speak!

And when it was day, some of the Jews made a pact and bound themselves under an oath, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they should kill Paul.

And they came to the chief priests and elders, and said, We have bound ourselves under a great oath that we will eat nothing until we have killed Paul.

For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ on behalf of my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh,

If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. The Lord comes.

And do not fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul. But rather fear Him who has power to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.

Therefore whoever shall confess Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father in Heaven.

But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in Heaven.

So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these? He said to Him, Yes, Lord; You know that I am deeply fond of You. He said to him, Feed My lambs.

He said to him the third time, Simon, son of Jonah, are you deeply fond of Me? Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, Are you deeply fond of Me? And he said to Him, Lord, You discern all things; You know that I am deeply fond of You. Jesus said to him, Feed My sheep.

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.

And Jesus said to him, Truly, I say to you that today, even this night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.

But he denied it, saying, I neither know nor understand what you are saying. And he went out on the porch, and a rooster crowed.

And a second time the rooster crowed. And Peter remembered the word that Jesus had said to him, Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times. And when he thought on it, he wept.

But Peter said, Man, I do not know what you are saying. Immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed.

Peter then denied again; and immediately a rooster crowed.
