But Peter followed Him at a distance to the high priest's courtyard. And he went in and sat with the servants to see the end.

And there he came into a cave, and spent the night there; and behold, the Word of Jehovah came to him, and He said to him, What are you doing here, Elijah?

And so it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave; and behold, a voice came to him, and said, What are you doing here, Elijah?

Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the wicked, nor has stood in the way of sinners, nor has sat in the seat of the scornful.

Now as Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the servant girls of the high priest came.

But he denied it, saying, I neither know nor understand what you are saying. And he went out on the porch, and a rooster crowed.

Now when they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat among them.

But he denied Him, saying, Woman, I do not know Him.

But Peter stood at the door outside. Then the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to her who kept the door, and brought Peter in.

Then the servant girl who kept the door said to Peter, Are you not also one of this Man's disciples? He said, I am not.

Now Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. Therefore they said to him, Are you not also one of His disciples? He denied it and said, I am not.

and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the lustful behavior of the wicked

then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust for the day of judgment, to be punished,

And when he had gone out to the porch, another girl saw him and said to those who were there, This fellow also was with Jesus of Nazareth.

But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea instead of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. And being warned by God in a dream, he withdrew into the region of Galilee.

And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.

And the multitudes said, This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee.

And Nathanael said to him, Can anything good come out of Nazareth? Philip said to him, Come and see.

Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Christ does not come out of Galilee.

They answered and said to him, Are you also from Galilee? Search and look, for no prophet has arisen out of Galilee.

After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the census, and drew away many people after him. He also perished, and all who obeyed him were dispersed.
