and saying, You who destroys the temple and builds it in three days, save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross.

Likewise the chief priests also, mocking with the scribes and elders, said,

He saved others; He has no power to save Himself. If He is the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe Him.

He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now if He will have Him; for He said, I am the Son of God.

Even the robbers who were crucified with Him reviled Him with the same thing.

Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him will by no means be ashamed.

Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, The stone which the builders rejected has become the Head of the corner,

and a Stone of stumbling and a Rock of offense. They stumble, being disobedient to the Word, to which they also were appointed.
