And Jesus answered and said to them, Have you come out, as against a robber, with swords and clubs to take Me?

And they all forsook Him and fled.

Then Jesus said to the chief priests, commanders of the temple, and the elders who had come to Him, Have you come out, as against a robber, with swords and clubs?

When I was with you daily in the temple, you did not stretch forth your hands against Me. But this is your hour, and the authority of darkness.

Then Jesus answered and said, while He taught in the temple, How is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the son of David?

And in the daytime He was teaching in the temple, but at night He went out and stayed on the Mount of Olives.

And early in the morning all the people came to Him in the temple to hear Him.

And early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them.

Jesus answered him, I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where the Jews always meet, and in secret I have said nothing.

Why do you question Me? Ask those who have heard Me what I said to them. Behold, they know what I said.
