A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. And He left them and departed.

O Jerusalem, be instructed, lest My soul depart from you; lest I make you desolate, a land not inhabited.

Though they raise their sons, yet I will make them childless, until not a man is left. Yea, woe also to them when I turn away from them!

But Jesus withdrew with His disciples to the sea. And a great multitude from Galilee followed Him, and from Judea

Then the whole multitude of the surrounding region of the Gadarenes asked Him to depart from them, for they were seized with great fear. And He got into the boat and returned.

Now the man from whom the demons had departed begged Him that he might be with Him. But Jesus sent him away, saying,

And Jesus went into Jerusalem and into the temple. So when He had looked around at all things, as the hour was already late, He went out to Bethany with the twelve.

And when evening had come, He went out of the city.

Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha received Him into her house.

Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.

Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles away.

Then, six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, who had died, whom He raised from the dead.

Then Mary took a pound of very costly ointment of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the ointment.
