When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

So the two of them went until they came to Bethlehem. And it happened, when they had come to Bethlehem, that all the city was in a stir because of them; and they said, Is this Naomi?

And Samuel did what Jehovah spoke, and went to Bethlehem. And the elders of the town trembled to meet him, and said, Do you come in peace?

His disciples did not understand these things at first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written about Him and that they had done these things to Him.

For this reason also the crowd met Him, because they heard that He had done this sign.

Shulamite: Who is this coming out of the wilderness like columns of smoke, like the smoke of sacrifices of myrrh and frankincense, of all the fragrant powders of the merchant?

Who is this who comes from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah, this One adorned in His apparel, flexing His great strength? I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.

And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who is able to forgive sins but God alone?

And those who sat at the table with Him began to say to themselves, Who is this who even forgives sins?

And Herod said, John I have beheaded, but who is this about whom I hear such things? So he sought to see Him.

and spoke to Him, saying, Tell us, by what authority are You doing these things? Or who is he who gave You this authority?

Then the Jews answered and said to Him, What sign do You show to us, since You do these things?

And he said, Who are You, Sir? And the Lord said, I am Jesus, whom you persecute. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.
