Matthew 9:9
And as Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, Follow Me. So he arose and followed Him.
Matthew 21:23-31

And when He came into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people approached Him as He was teaching, and said, By what authority do You do these things? And who gave You this authority?

And Jesus answered and said to them, I also will ask you one thing, which if you tell Me, I likewise will tell you by what authority I do these things:

The immersion of John; where was it from? From Heaven or from men? And they reasoned among themselves, saying, If we say, From Heaven, He will say to us, Why then did you not believe him?

But if we say, From men, we fear the multitude, for everyone holds John as a prophet.

So they answered Jesus and said, We do not know. And He said to them, Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.

But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first and said, Son, go, work today in my vineyard.

He answered and said, I will not, but afterward he regretted it and went.

And he came to the second and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir, but he did not go.

Which of the two did the will of his father? They said to Him, The first. Jesus said to them, Truly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom of God before you.
Luke 19:7-10

But when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.

And Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, Behold, Lord, I give half of my possessions to the poor; and whatever I have taken from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.

Romans 6:16-22

Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered to you.

And having been set free from sin, you became slaves to righteousness.

I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves to uncleanness, and to iniquity unto iniquity, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness unto sanctification.

For when you were slaves to sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.

What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.

But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves to God, you have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end, eternal life.
