And they came to Jericho. And as He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging.

And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!

And many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, Son of David, have mercy on me!
49
So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him, Be of good courage. Arise, He is calling you.
50
And throwing aside his garment, he arose and came to Jesus.
51
And Jesus answered and said to him, What do you want Me to do for you? And the blind man said to Him, My Master, that I may see again.

And Jesus said to him, Go your way; your faith has made you well. And immediately he saw again and followed Jesus on the road.
Luke 18:35-43

Then it happened, as He was coming near Jericho, that a certain blind man sat by the road begging.

And hearing a multitude passing by, he asked what it might be.
37
So they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.
38
And he cried out, saying, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!
39
And those who went before rebuked him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, Son of David, have mercy on me!
40
So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be brought to Him. And when he had come near, He asked him,
41
saying, What do you want Me to do for you? He said, Lord, that I may recover my sight.
42
Then Jesus said to him, Receive your sight. Your faith has healed you.
43
And immediately he recovered his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.
