harden not your hearts, as in the strife, as in the day of testing in the wilderness,

And they made their heart adamant so as not to hear the Law and the Words which Jehovah of Hosts has sent by His Spirit through the former prophets. And great wrath came from Jehovah of Hosts.

And this is a second thing you do: covering the altar of Jehovah with tears, with weeping and crying out; so that He does not regard the grain offering, nor receive it with delight from your hand.

Yet you say, For what reason? Because Jehovah has been witness between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have dealt treacherously; and she is your companion and your wife by covenant.

And Jesus answered and said to them, Because of the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.

But Jesus answered and said to him, Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he allowed Him.

So the demons begged Him, saying, If You cast us out, allow us to go away into the herd of swine.

But I say this by permission, not by commandment.

So Noah, with his sons, his wife, and his sons' wives, went into the ark because of the waters of the flood.

Thus says Jehovah, Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths where the good way is, and walk in it, and you shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk in it.
