But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.

And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick.

So Jesus had compassion and touched their eyes. And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him.

In those days, the multitude being very great and having nothing to eat, Jesus called His disciples to Him and said to them,

I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat.

And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You are able to do anything, have compassion on us and help us.

And when the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, Do not weep.

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

saying, Sir, we remember, while He was still alive, how that deceiver said, After three days I will rise.

And as day was about to dawn, Paul begged them all to take food, saying, Today is the fourteenth day you have waited and continued without food, and eaten nothing.

For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your Heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

And do not seek what you shall eat or what you shall drink, nor be agitated.

For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things.

Then one of the people said, Your father adjured the people with an oath, saying, Cursed is the man who eats food this day. And the people were faint.

How much better if the people had eaten to feed themselves today of the spoils of their enemies which they have found! For now would there not have been a much greater slaughter among the Philistines?

And they found a man from Egypt in the field, and brought him to David; and they gave him bread and he ate, and they let him drink water.

And they gave him a piece of a cake of figs and two clusters of raisins. So when he had eaten, his spirit revived; for he had eaten no bread nor drunk water for three days and three nights.

And if I send them away hungry to their own houses, they will faint on the way; for some of them have come from afar.
