The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.

I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies and of all the faithfulness which You have done for Your servant; for I crossed over this Jordan with my staff, and now I have become two companies.

Behold, I have been vile! What shall I answer You? I have put my hand to my mouth.

Once I have spoken, but I will not answer; yea, twice, but I will proceed no further.

I know that You can do everything, and that no purpose is withheld from You.

Grant me this request, and I will speak: I will inquire of You, and You declare to me.

Therefore I despise myself, and have repented in dust and ashes.

Against You, You only, have I sinned, and done evil in Your sight; that You might be found just when You speak, and pure when You judge.

Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.

so that you may remember and be ashamed. And you will never open your mouth anymore because of your shame, when I provide atonement for you for all that you have done, declares the Lord Jehovah.

O my God, bow down Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our desolations and the city which is called by Your name. For we do not make our supplications before You on account of our righteousness, but because of Your great mercies.

Then Jesus went with them. And when He was already not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to Him, saying to Him, Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof.

Therefore I did not even think myself worthy to come to You. But say the word, and my servant will be healed.

I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, Father, I have sinned against Heaven and before you,

and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.

And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to Heaven, but beat his breast, saying, God, be merciful to me a sinner!

But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, Do you not fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?

Then he said to Jesus, Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.

Let it not be! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar. As it is written: That You may be found just in Your words, and may win the case when You are judged.

Now we know that whatever the Law says, it says to those who are under the Law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one of untimely birth.

For I am the least of the apostles, who am not fit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I received mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

that you may become sons of your Father in Heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

Or is He the God of the Jews only? Is He not also the God of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also,

For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich toward all who call upon Him.

To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

to know the surpassing knowledge and love of Christ; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
