Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.

And His disciples said to Him, Where could we get enough bread in the wilderness to feed such a great multitude?

And Moses said, You shall see when Jehovah gives you flesh to eat in the evening, and in the morning bread to the full; for Jehovah hears your murmurings which you grumble against Him. And what are we? Your murmurings are not against us but against Jehovah.

I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel. Speak to them, saying, At evening you shall eat flesh, and in the morning you shall be filled with bread. And you shall know that I am Jehovah your God.

And when I have cut off your supply of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall bring back your bread by weight, and you shall eat and not be satisfied.

And she said, As Jehovah your God lives, I do not have a cake, only a handful of flour in a jar, and a little oil in a jug; and behold, I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die.

For thus says Jehovah the God of Israel: The jar of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jug of oil become empty, until the day that Jehovah sends rain upon the face of the earth.

The jar of flour was not used up, nor did the jug of oil become empty, according to the Word of Jehovah which He had spoken by the hand of Elijah.

But his servant said, What? Shall I set this before one hundred men? He said again, Give it to the people, that they may eat; for thus says Jehovah: They shall eat and have some left over.

So he set it before them; and they ate and had some left over, according to the Word of Jehovah.

The righteous eats to the satisfying of his soul, but the belly of the wicked shall lack.

So I said, Ah, Lord Jehovah! Behold, my soul has never been defiled from my youth till now; I have never eaten a carcass or a torn animal, nor has abominable flesh ever come into my mouth.

Moreover He said to me, Son of man, behold, I will cut off the food supply in Jerusalem; and they shall eat bread by weight and with anxiety, and shall drink water by measure and in horror,

You have sown much, and bring in little; you eat, but do not have enough; you drink, but are not filled with drink; you put on clothes, but no one is warm. And, one hiring himself out earns wages for a bag of holes.

He fills the hungry with good things, and the rich He sends away empty.

So they all ate and were filled, and twelve baskets of the leftover fragments were taken up by them.

Philip answered Him, Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may receive even a little.

And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they desired.

So they all ate and were filled, and they took up seven large baskets full of the fragments that were left.

And those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children.

But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, O you of little faith, why do you reason among yourselves because you have brought no bread?

Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand and how many large baskets you took up?

Now a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared Jehovah. And the creditor is coming to take my two children to be his slaves.

Then he said, Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors; empty vessels; do not gather just a few.

So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out.

Then she came and reported to the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.

So everyone ate and was filled.

And those who had eaten the loaves were about five thousand men.

So they ate and were filled, and they took up seven baskets of leftover fragments.

And those who had eaten were about four thousand. And He sent them away,

And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread.

Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember?

Also, when I broke the seven for the four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did you take up? And they said, Seven.

So when they were filled, He said to His disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost.

Then those men, when they had seen the sign that Jesus did, said, This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world.
