Or have you not read in the Law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, and are blameless?

And He answered and said to them, Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning made them male and female,

and said to Him, Do You hear what these are saying? And Jesus said to them, Yes. Have you never read, Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise?

But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God, saying,

Have you not even read this Scripture: The stone which the builders rejected has become the head of the corner;

But concerning the dead, that they are raised, have you not read in the book of Moses, how God spoke to him at the bush, saying, I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?

But Jesus answering them said, Have you never read this, what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him;

He said to him, What is written in the Law? How do you read it?

Now therefore, what do you have on hand? Give me five loaves of bread in my hand, or whatever can be found.

And David answered the priest, and said to him, Truly, women have been kept from us about three days since I came out. And the vessels of the young men are holy, and in a way the bread is common, even though it was consecrated in the vessel today.

But He said to them, Have you never read what David did when he was in need and hungry, he and those with him:

how he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the Bread of Presentation, which is not lawful to eat, except for the priests, and also gave to those who were with him?
