They shall not take a wife who commits harlotry or a defiled woman, nor shall they take a woman put away from her husband; for he is holy unto his God.

and she was a widow of about eighty-four years, who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.

For the woman who has a husband is bound by the Law to her husband as long as he lives. But if the husband dies, she is released from the law of her husband.
