Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brethren, from his father's house, the Korahites, were in charge of the work of the service, gatekeepers of the tent. Their fathers had been keepers at the entrance to the camp of Jehovah.

Phinehas the son of Eleazar had been the ruler over them previously; and Jehovah was with him.

Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was gatekeeper at the door of the tent of meeting.

All those chosen as gatekeepers were two hundred and twelve. They were reckoned by their genealogy, in their villages. David and Samuel the seer had appointed them in their faithfulness.

So they and their sons had charge of the gates of the house of Jehovah, the house of the tent, by watches.

The gatekeepers were at the four sides: the east, west, north, and south.

And their brethren in their villages had to come to them from time to time for seven days.

In this trust were four chief gatekeepers; Levites. And they had charge over the chambers and treasuries of the house of God.

They lodged all around the house of God because theirs was the charge for opening up morning by morning.

Some of them were over the vessels of service, for they brought them in by count and took them out by count.

Some of them were appointed over the furnishings and over all the implements of the sanctuary, and over the fine flour and the wine and the oil and the frankincense and the spices.

Some of the sons of the priests mixed the ointment of the spices.

Mattithiah of the Levites, the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, had the trust over the things that were made in the pans.

Some of their brethren of the sons of the Kohathites were to prepare the Bread in Rows Sabbath by Sabbath.

These were the singers, heads of fathers of the Levites, who stayed in the chambers, and were free from other duties; for this was their occupation day and night.

Five curtains shall be joined to one another, and the other five curtains shall be joined to one another.

And you shall make loops of violet material on the edge of the one curtain on the extremity at the joint, and likewise you shall do on the outer edge of the other curtain at the second joint.

Fifty loops you shall make on the one curtain, and fifty loops you shall make on the edge of the curtain that is on the end of the second joint, that the loops may fit to one another.

And you shall make fifty hooks of gold, and join the curtains together with the hooks, so that it may be one tabernacle.

You shall also make curtains of goats' hair, to be a tent over the tabernacle. You shall make eleven curtains.

The length of each curtain shall be thirty cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits; one measurement for the eleven curtains.

And you shall join five curtains by themselves and six curtains by themselves, and you shall double over the sixth curtain at the front of the face of the tent.

You shall make fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that is outermost at the one joint, and fifty loops on the edge of the curtain at the second joint.

And you shall make fifty bronze hooks, put the hooks into the loops, and join the tent together, that it may be one.

The remnant that remains of the curtains of the tent, the half curtain that remains, shall hang over the back of the tabernacle.

And a cubit on one side and a cubit on the other side, of what remains of the length of the curtains of the tent, shall hang over the sides of the tabernacle, on this side and on that side, to cover it.

You shall also make a covering of ram skins dyed red for the tent, and a covering of badger skins above that.
