And they came to Balaam and said to him, Thus says Balak the son of Zippor: Please let nothing hinder you from coming to me;

for I will honor you with great honor, and I will do whatever you say to me. Therefore please come, curse this people for me.

Now therefore, flee to your place. I had thought to honor you with great honor, but behold, Jehovah has kept you back from honor.

For exaltation comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.

Again, the devil takes Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and shows Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.

And he says to Him, All these things I will give to You if You will fall down and do homage to me.

And the devil said to Him, All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.

How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from God only?
