And the children of Israel set out, and encamped in the plains of Moab beyond the Jordan across from Jericho.

These are those who were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the sons of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, across from Jericho.

They camped by the Jordan, from Beth Jesimoth as far as Abel Shittim in the plains of Moab.

And Jehovah spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, across from Jericho, saying,

On this side of the Jordan in the land of Moab, Moses began to explain this Law, saying,

And Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which is across from Jericho. And Jehovah showed him all the land of Gilead as far as Dan,

So Balak took Balaam to the top of Peor, that looks down facing the wilderness.
