Judah, you are he whom your brothers shall praise; your hand shall be on the neck of your enemies; your father's children shall bow down before you.

The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a Lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh comes; and to Him shall be the cleansing of the peoples.

The sons of Judah were Er and Onan; and Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan.

And the sons of Perez: of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; of Hamul, the family of the Hamulites.

Amminadab begot Nahshon, and Nahshon begot Salmon;

Ram begot Amminadab, and Amminadab begot Nahshon, chief of the sons of Judah;

And Aram begot Amminadab, Amminadab begot Nahshon, and Nahshon begot Salmon.

the son of Amminadab, the son of Ram, the son of Hezron, the son of Perez, the son of Judah,
