Numbers 13:30
And Caleb silenced the people before Moses, and said, Let us arise to go up and take possession, for we are able to prevail.

And Moses spoke to Jehovah, saying:

Let Jehovah the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,

who shall go out before them and go in before them, who shall lead them out and bring them in, that the congregation of Jehovah not be like sheep which have no shepherd.
18
And Jehovah said to Moses: Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand upon him;
19
make him stand before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation, and commission him before their eyes.
20
And you shall ascribe some of your majesty upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient.
21
And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire before Jehovah for him according to the judgment of the Urim. At his mouth they shall go out, and at his mouth they shall come in, he and all the children of Israel with him; all the congregation.

So Moses did as Jehovah commanded him. He took Joshua and made him stand before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation.

And he laid his hands on him and commissioned him, as Jehovah had commanded by the hand of Moses.

And Moses called to Joshua and said to him in the eyes of all Israel, Be strong and of good courage, for you shall go with this people into the land which Jehovah has sworn to their fathers to give to them, and you shall cause them to inherit it.

And Jehovah, He is going before you. He will be with you; He will not abandon you nor forsake you. Do not fear nor be dismayed.

And Moses wrote this Law and delivered it to the priests, the sons of Levi, who bore the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, and to all the elders of Israel.

And Moses commanded them, saying: At the end of every seven years, at the appointed time in the year of release, at the Feast of Booths,

when all Israel comes to appear before Jehovah your God in the place which He chooses, you shall read this Law before all Israel in their ears.

Gather the people together, men and women and little ones, and the sojourner who is within your gates, that they may hear and that they may learn to fear Jehovah your God and take heed to do all the Words of this Law,
13
and that their children, who have not known it, may hear and learn to fear Jehovah your God all the days you live in the land which you are crossing the Jordan to possess.
14
And Jehovah said to Moses, Behold, the day has drawn near for you to die. Summon Joshua, and present yourselves at the tent of meeting, that I may commission him. And Moses and Joshua went and presented themselves at the tent of meeting.

And Jehovah appeared at the tent in a pillar of cloud, and the pillar of cloud stood above the door of the tent.
16
And Jehovah said to Moses: Behold, you shall rest with your fathers; and this people will rise up and commit adultery with the gods of the foreigners of the land, where they are going in to be among them, and they will forsake Me and break My covenant which I have made with them.
17
And My anger will burn against them in that day, and I shall forsake them, and I will hide My face from them, and they shall be devoured. And many evils and troubles shall befall them, so that they will say in that day, Have not these evils come upon us because our God is not among us?
Joshua 14:6-15

Then the sons of Judah came to Joshua in Gilgal. And Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said to him: You know the word which Jehovah had spoken to Moses the man of God concerning you and me in Kadesh Barnea.
7
I was forty years old when Moses the servant of Jehovah sent me from Kadesh Barnea to spy out the land, and I brought back word to him as it was in my heart.
8
Nevertheless my brethren who went up with me made the heart of the people melt, but I wholly followed Jehovah my God.
9
And Moses swore on that day, saying, Surely the land where your foot has trodden shall be your inheritance and of your sons perpetually, because you have fully followed Jehovah my God.
10
And now, behold, Jehovah has kept me alive, as He said, these forty-five years, ever since Jehovah spoke this word to Moses while Israel wandered in the wilderness; and now, here I am this day, eighty-five years old.
11
As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both to go out and to come in.
12
Now therefore, give me this mountain of which Jehovah spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and that the cities were great and fortified. It may be that Jehovah will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as Jehovah has spoken.
13
And Joshua blessed him, and gave Hebron to Caleb the son of Jephunneh as an inheritance.
14
Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite to this day, because he fully followed Jehovah the God of Israel.
15
And the name of Hebron formerly was Kirjath Arba (Arba was a great man among the Anakim). And the land had rest from war.
Joshua 15:13-19

And to Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a share among the sons of Judah, according to the commandment of Jehovah to Joshua, namely, Kirjath Arba, which is Hebron (Arba was the father of Anak).
14
Caleb dispossessed the three sons of Anak from there: Sheshai, Ahiman, and Talmai, born to Anak.
15
And he went up from there to the inhabitants of Debir (formerly the name of Debir was Kirjath Sepher).
16
And Caleb said, He who strikes Kirjath Sepher and takes it, to him I will give Achsah my daughter as wife.
17
And Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it; and he gave him Achsah his daughter as wife.
18
And it came to pass, when she came to him, that she urged him to ask her father for a field. And she dismounted from her donkey, and Caleb said to her, What do you wish?
19
She answered, Give me a blessing; since you have given me land in the south, give me also springs of water. So he gave her the upper springs and the lower springs.
Luke 1:10-15

And an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing on the right side of the altar of incense.

And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.
