Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which Jehovah your God is giving you.

Every one of you shall revere his mother and his father, and keep My Sabbaths: I am Jehovah your God.

and he does not honor his father or mother. Thus you have voided the commandment of God by your tradition.

Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise:

Let as many bondservants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and His doctrine may not be blasphemed.

And those who have believing masters, let them not despise them because they are brethren, but rather serve them because those who are benefited are believers and beloved. Teach and exhort these things.

Let bondservants be obedient to their own masters, well pleasing in all things, not answering back,

not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.

Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.

For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering undeservedly.

And you shall say to Pharaoh, Thus says Jehovah: Israel is My son, My firstborn.

And I say unto you, Let My son go that he may serve Me. And if you refuse to let him go, behold, I will kill your son, your firstborn.

Give heed, O heavens, and hear, O earth! For Jehovah has spoken: I have nourished and brought up children, but they have rebelled against Me.

But now, O Jehovah, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You are the One who forms us; and we all are the work of Your hand.

They shall come with weeping, and with supplications I will lead them. I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way; they shall not stumble in it, for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is My firstborn.

In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in Heaven, Holy is Your name.

For if you forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you.

But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.

But why do you call Me Lord, Lord, and do not do what I say?

And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one's work, behave yourselves throughout the time of your sojourning in fear;

Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven.

But why do you call Me Lord, Lord, and do not do what I say?

You call me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am.

For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.

If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

But you have turned aside out of the way; you have caused many to stumble at the Law. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi, says Jehovah of Hosts.

Did I not choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be My priest, to offer upon My altar, to burn incense, and to bear the ephod before Me? And did I not give to the house of your father all the offerings by fire of the children of Israel?

Therefore Jehovah the God of Israel says: I said indeed that your house and the house of your father would walk before Me forever. But now Jehovah says: Far be it from Me! For those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.

An appalling and horrible thing has happened in the land.

The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their own power; and my people love to have it so, and what will you do in the end?

For both prophet and priest are corrupt; yes, in My house I have found their evil, says Jehovah.

Her priests have violated My Law and defiled My holy things; they have not divided between the holy and profane, nor have they declared between the unclean and the clean; and they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest to Me. Since you have forgotten the Law of your God, I also will forget your sons.

Hear this, O priests, and pay attention, O house of Israel. And give ear, O house of the king. For judgment is toward you, because you have been a snare to Mizpah, and a net spread on Tabor.

Yet you say, For what reason? Because Jehovah has been witness between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have dealt treacherously; and she is your companion and your wife by covenant.

For Jehovah the God of Israel, says that He hates divorce, and to cover violence with one's garment, says Jehovah of Hosts. Therefore take heed to your spirit and do not deal treacherously.

From the days of your fathers, you have turned aside from My statutes and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you, says Jehovah of Hosts. But you say, In what way shall we return?

Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me. But you say, How have we robbed You? In the tithe and the offering.

Your words have been strong against Me, says Jehovah. Yet you say, What have we spoken against you?

You have said, It is vain to serve God. And, What profit is it that we have kept His charge, and that we have walked as mourners before Jehovah of Hosts?

Yet I planted you a noble vine, a true seed. How then have you turned into the degenerate shoots of an alien vine to Me?

For though you wash yourself with lye, and use much soap, yet your iniquity is stained before Me, says the Lord Jehovah.

And Ephraim said, I am rich; I have found much wealth for myself. In all my labors they shall find no iniquity in me that is sin.

But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, And who is my neighbor?
