Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, and against the Man who is My Associate, says Jehovah of Hosts. Strike the Shepherd and the sheep will be scattered. And I will turn My hand on the little ones.

Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and rulers shall rule with justice.

And a man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a shelter from the tempest, like streams of water in a dry place, like the shade of a huge rock in a weary land.

And this shall be peace. When Assyria shall come into our land, and when he shall tread in our palaces, then we shall raise against him seven shepherds and eight anointed men.

And when the centurion, who stood opposite Him, saw that He cried out like this and breathed His last, he said, Truly this Man was the Son of God!

Then Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And Pilate said to them, Behold the Man!

Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this One is preached to you the remission of sins;

because He has established a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has appointed. He has given assurance of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead.

Now consider how great this man was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave a tenth of the spoils.

But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood.

For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices. Therefore it is necessary that this One also have something to offer.

But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God,

Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your companions who are sitting before you; for they are men of significance. For, behold, I will bring forth My Servant, the BRANCH.

and the vineyard which Your right hand has planted, and the son that You made strong for Yourself.

Let Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand, upon the son of man whom You have made strong for Yourself.

In that day shall the Branch of Jehovah be beautiful and honorable, and the fruit of the earth excellent and glorious for those who have escaped from Israel.

And a Branch shall go out from the trunk of Jesse, and a Shoot shall grow out of his roots.

For He grows up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of the dry ground. He has no form nor splendor that we should regard Him, nor anything spectacular that we should desire Him.

Behold, the days are coming, says Jehovah, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King who shall reign and act prudently, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the earth.

In those days, and at that time, I will cause the Branch of Righteousness to grow up to David; and He shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

through the tender mercy of our God, with which the Dayspring from on high has visited us;

Philip found Nathanael and said to him, We have found Him of whom Moses in the Law, and also the Prophets, wrote; Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, This is the Word of Jehovah to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says Jehovah of Hosts.

Moreover the Word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

Thus says Jehovah of Hosts: Let your hands become strong, you who hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, that in the day the foundation of the house of Jehovah of Hosts is laid, the temple is to be built.

And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this Rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against It.

and said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God and to build it in three days.

We heard Him say, I will destroy this temple made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.

And those who passed by blasphemed Him, wagging their heads and saying, Aha! You who destroy the temple and build it in three days,

Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

But He was speaking of the temple of His body.

For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building.

having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone,

in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

For this One has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as He who built the house has more honor than the house.

For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.

Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious,

you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
