I have struck you with blasting and mildew. When your gardens and your vineyards, and your figs, and your olives increased, the locust devoured them; yet you have not returned to Me, declares Jehovah.

Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause very heavy hail to rain down, such as has not been in Egypt since its founding until now.

The ones who feared the word of Jehovah among the servants of Pharaoh made their servants and their livestock flee to the shelters.

And Jehovah said to Moses, Stretch forth your hand toward the heavens, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt; upon man, upon beast, and upon every plant of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.

So there was hail, and fire in the midst of the hail, so very heavy that there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.

Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, there was no hail.

Entreat Jehovah, that there be no more Divine thundering and hail, for it is enough. I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer.

Behold, the Lord is a mighty and strong one, like a hailstorm, a destroying storm; like a flood of mighty waters overflowing, He casts down to the earth with the hand.

And I called for a drought in the land, and on the mountains, and on the grain, and on the new wine, and on the oil, and on that which the ground brings forth, and on man, and on livestock, and on all the labor of your hands.

He also gave their crops to the caterpillar, and their labor to the locust.

Jehovah has sworn by His right hand, and by the arm of His strength: Surely I will no more give your grain as food for your enemies; and the children of foreigners shall not drink your wine for which you have labored.

For shame has devoured the labor of our fathers from our youth, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.

And in the time of his distress he became increasingly unfaithful to Jehovah; this King Ahaz.

But the hypocrites in heart store up wrath; they do not cry for help when He has bound them.

For the people do not turn to Him who strikes them, nor do they seek Jehovah of Hosts.

Therefore He has poured upon him the fury of His anger, and the strength of battle. And it has set him on fire all around, yet he did not know; and it burned him, yet he did not lay it to heart.

O Jehovah, are not Your eyes on the truth? You have stricken them, but they have not grieved; You have destroyed them, but they have refused to receive correction; they have made their faces harder than rock; they have refused to return.

Thus says Jehovah, Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths where the good way is, and walk in it, and you shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk in it.

Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Listen to the sound of the shofar. But they said, We will not listen.

I listened and heard, but they did not speak right; no man repented of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? Everyone turned to his own course, as a horse rushes into the battle.

Strangers have eaten up his strength, yet he does not know it. Yea, gray hairs are sprinkled here and there on him, yet he does not know it.

And the pride of Israel testifies to his face. And they do not return to Jehovah their God, nor seek Him for all this.

So two or three cities staggered to one city in order to drink water, but they were not satisfied; yet you have not returned to Me, declares Jehovah.

I have sent a plague among you in the manner of Egypt; I have killed your young men with the sword, along with your captive horses. And I have made the stench of your camps come up into your nostrils; yet you have not returned to Me, declares Jehovah.

Jehovah has been wrathfully angry with your fathers.

Do not be as your fathers, to whom the former prophets have proclaimed, saying, Thus says Jehovah of Hosts: Turn back now from your evil ways and your evil doings. But they did not hear nor heed Me, says Jehovah.

Thus says Jehovah of Hosts, saying, Judge true justice, and show goodness and compassion, everyone to his brother.

But they refused to heed, and gave a stubborn shoulder, and they made their ears heavy that they might not hear.

Therefore it has come to pass that, just as He called, and they would not hear; so they called, and I did not hear, says Jehovah of Hosts.

And I gave her time to repent of her sexual perversion, and she did not repent.

But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not do homage to demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which are not able to see nor hear nor walk.

And they did not repent of their murders nor their sorceries nor their sexual perversions nor their thefts.
