You have sown much, and bring in little; you eat, but do not have enough; you drink, but are not filled with drink; you put on clothes, but no one is warm. And, one hiring himself out earns wages for a bag of holes.

since those days, when one came to a heap of twenty measures, there were but ten. When one came to the wine vat to draw out fifty from the wine trough, there were but twenty.

I struck you with blight, and with mildew, and with hail, in all the labors of your hands; yet you did not turn to Me, says Jehovah.

Because you have forgotten the God of your salvation, and have not been mindful of the Rock of your strength, therefore you shall plant pleasant plants and shall set strange shoots.

In the day you shall fence in your planting; and in the morning you shall make your seed sprout. But the harvest shall be a heap in the day of sickness and incurable pain.

Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me. But you say, How have we robbed You? In the tithe and the offering.

Bring all the tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now with this, says Jehovah of Hosts, whether I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour out a blessing until there is not enough room to store it.

And the channels of the sea were seen, the foundations of the world were uncovered, at the rebuke of Jehovah, at the blast of the breath of His nostrils.

Behold, I will send a spirit upon him, and he shall hear a rumor and return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.

The grass withers, the flower fades, because the Spirit of Jehovah blows upon it; surely the people are grass.

If you will not hear, and if you will not lay it to heart to give glory to My name, says Jehovah of Hosts, then I will send the curse on you, and I will curse your blessings. And indeed, I have cursed it, because you are not laying it to heart.

I will say to God, Do not condemn me; show me why You contend with me.

I have considered the days of old, the years of antiquity.

Will the Lord cast off forever? And will He be pleased no more?

Has the Mighty God forgotten to be gracious? Has He in anger shut up His tender mercies? Selah

Is it time for you yourselves to live in your paneled houses, and this house to lie waste?

And Jehovah said to Joshua: Get up! Why do you lie thus on your face?

Therefore the sons of Israel were not able to stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they are accursed. Neither will I be with you anymore, unless you destroy the accursed from among you.

In the morning therefore you shall be brought according to your tribes. And it shall be that the tribe which Jehovah takes shall come according to families; and the family which Jehovah takes shall come by households; and the household which Jehovah takes shall come man by man.

He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.

For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many have been put to death.

But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.

Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.
