Consecrate unto Me every firstborn, whatever opens the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and beast; it is Mine.

that you shall devote unto Jehovah all that open the womb: every firstborn offspring from an animal which you have; the males belong to Jehovah.

But every firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb; and if you will not redeem it, then you shall break its neck. And every firstborn of man among your children you shall redeem.

Likewise you shall do with your oxen and your sheep. It shall be with its mother seven days; on the eighth day you shall give it unto Me.

But the firstborn of a cow, the firstborn of a sheep, or the firstborn of a goat you shall not redeem; they are holy. You shall sprinkle their blood on the altar, and burn their fat with smoke as an offering by fire for a soothing aroma unto Jehovah.

All the firstborn males that your herd and your flock bring forth you shall consecrate unto Jehovah your God; you shall do no work with the firstborn of your ox, nor shear the firstborn of your sheep.
