I am Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

Who is there among you of all His people? His God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah, and build the house of Jehovah the God of Israel (He is God), which is in Jerusalem.

who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. Jehovah lets loose the prisoners.

that You may say to the prisoners, Go out! To those who are in darkness, Show yourselves! They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be on all the barren heights.

Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?

But thus says Jehovah, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the ruthless shall escape. For I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children.

The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is upon Me; because Jehovah has anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the mantle of praise for the spirit of heaviness; so that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that He might be glorified.

For the day of vengeance is in My heart, and the year of My redeemed has come.

The Word that came unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, after King Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people at Jerusalem, to proclaim liberty to them;

Thus says Jehovah the God of Israel: I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, saying,

And you had turned today, and had done what was right in My eyes proclaiming liberty, each man to his neighbor. And you had made a covenant before Me in the house which is called by My name.

Therefore thus says Jehovah: You have not heeded Me to proclaim liberty each man to his brother, and each man to his neighbor! Behold, I proclaim liberty for you, says Jehovah, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine. And I will cause you to be an object of horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.

As for you, by the blood of your covenant I have set free your prisoners from the pit, where there is no water.

Turn to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.

To grant us that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear,

So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free with deliverance those who are oppressed;

And He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fixed on Him.

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.

Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Everyone practicing sin is a slave of sin.

Therefore if the Son sets you free, you shall truly be free.

But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered to you.

And having been set free from sin, you became slaves to righteousness.

Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

for this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to the present Jerusalem, and is in bondage with her children;

For it is written: Rejoice, O barren, you who do not bear. Break forth and shout, you who are not in labor. For the desolate has many more children than she who has a husband.

But, as he who was born according to the flesh then persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, even so it is now.

So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman but of the free.

Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

as free, yet not using liberty as a pretext for evil, but as bondservants of God.

While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage.

For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the full true knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the end is worse for them than the beginning.

In the Year of Jubilee, each of you shall return to his possession.

Or if the man has no one to redeem it, but he himself becomes able to redeem it,

But if he is not able to have it restored to himself, then what was sold shall remain in the hand of him who bought it until the Year of Jubilee; and in the Jubilee it shall go out, and he shall return to his possession.

If he consecrates his field from the Year of Jubilee, according to your valuation it shall stand.

And if he who consecrates the field will pay to redeem it, then he shall add one-fifth of the money of your valuation to it, and it shall be confirmed to him.

but the field, when it goes out in the Jubilee, shall be holy unto Jehovah, as a devoted field; it shall be the possession of the priest.

then the priest shall reckon to him the worth of your valuation, up to the Year of Jubilee, and he shall give your valuation on that day as a holy offering unto Jehovah.

And they said: Jehovah commanded my lord Moses to give the land as an inheritance by lot to the children of Israel, and my lord was commanded by Jehovah to give the inheritance of our brother Zelophehad to his daughters.

And when the Jubilee of the children of Israel comes, then their inheritance will be added to the inheritance of the tribe into which they marry; so their inheritance will be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.

This is the thing which Jehovah has commanded concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, Let them marry whoever is good in their eyes, but they shall marry only within the family of the tribe of their father.

And every daughter who possesses an inheritance in any tribe of the children of Israel shall be the wife of one of the family of her father's tribe, so that the children of Israel each may possess the inheritance of his fathers.
