They shall not take a wife who commits harlotry or a defiled woman, nor shall they take a woman put away from her husband; for he is holy unto his God.

They shall not take as wife a widow or a divorced woman, but take virgins of the seed of the house of Israel, or widows of priests.

For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, to present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He leads. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.
