You shall not have in your bag a stone and a stone weight, a great and small.

You shall have perfect and just weight stones, a perfect and just ephah; that your days may be prolonged in the land which Jehovah your God is giving to you.

A deceitful scale is an abomination to Jehovah, but a perfect weight stone is His delight.

A just weight and balance are Jehovah's; all the weight stones of the bag are His work.

Different sets of weight stones, different sets of measures, both are an abomination to Jehovah.

In you they take bribes to shed blood; you take usury and increase; you have made profit from your neighbors by extortion, and have forgotten Me, declares the Lord Jehovah.

Behold, therefore, I have clapped My hands at the unjust gain which you have made, and at the blood which has been in your midst.

saying, When will the new moon have passed, so that we may buy grain? Or the sabbath, so that we may open the wheat; making the ephah smaller, and making the shekel greater, and falsifying the balances by deceit,

in order to buy the poor with silver, and the needy for a pair of sandals, and sell the refuse of the wheat?

Hear now what Jehovah says: Rise up, contend with the mountains, and let the hills hear your voice.

For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever gauge you measure, it will be measured back to you.
