Again, you shall say to the children of Israel: Any of the children of Israel, or of the strangers who sojourn in Israel, who gives any of his seed to Molech, shall be executed to death. The people of the land shall stone him with stones.

You shall not do so unto Jehovah your God; for everything that is an abomination to Jehovah which He has hated, they have done unto their gods; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire unto their gods.

There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices divination, or conjuring, or fortunetelling, or sorcery,

But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel. He also made his son pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the nations whom Jehovah had cast out before the children of Israel.

He also made his son pass through the fire, practiced witchcraft and fortunetelling, and consulted necromancers and mediums. He did much evil in the eyes of Jehovah, to provoke Him to anger.

And he defiled Topheth, which is in the valley of the children of the sons of Hinnom, that no man might make his son or his daughter pass through the fire to Molech.

Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons,

and shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with blood.

They have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I did not command them, nor did it even come into My heart.

They have also built the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings to Baal, which I never commanded nor spoke, nor did it even come into My mind.

For when you offer your gifts and make your sons pass through the fire, you defile yourselves with all your idols, even to this day. So shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, declares the Lord Jehovah, I will not be inquired of by you.

For they have committed adultery, and blood is on their hands. They have committed adultery with their idols, and even sacrificed their sons whom they bore to Me, passing them through the fire, to devour them.

And Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, on the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech the abomination of the children of Ammon.

because they have forsaken Me, and bowed down to Ashtaroth the goddess of the Sidonians, Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the children of Ammon, and have not walked in My ways to do what is right in My eyes and to keep My statutes and My judgments, as did his father David.

Indeed, you have borne the tabernacle of your king, and Chiun your images, the star of your gods, which you made for yourselves!

You also took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, images which you made to do homage; and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.

And you shall not swear by My name for falsehood, nor shall you profane the name of your God: I am Jehovah.

And if the people of the land should conceal to hide their eyes from the man, when he gives his seed to Molech, and they do not kill him,

They shall be set apart to their God and not profane the name of their God, for they offer the offerings of Jehovah by fire, and the bread of their God; therefore they shall be holy.

Speak to Aaron and his sons, that they set themselves apart from the holy things of the children of Israel, and that they do not profane My holy name by what they consecrate to Me: I am Jehovah.

You shall not profane My holy name, but I will be treated holy among the children of Israel. I am Jehovah who sanctifies you,

When they came to the nations, wherever they went, they profaned My holy name. They said of them, These are the people of Jehovah, and they have come out of His land.

Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord Jehovah: I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for the sake of My holy name, which you have profaned among the nations, there where you went.

But you profane it when you say, The table of the Lord is defiled; and its fruit, His food is to be held in contempt.

and change the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man, and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.
