Then the earth shook and trembled; and the foundations of the hills quaked and were shaken, because He was angry.

Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob,

The mountains quake before Him, and the hills melt; and the earth is lifted up before Him, even the world and all who dwell in it.

Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split,

And I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood.

And I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heavens fled away. And there was found no place for them.

a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, as the dawn spread out on the mountains, a great and a strong people. There has never been the like, nor shall there ever be again to the years of many generations;

The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of Jehovah.

The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their brightness.

For the stars of the heavens and their constellations shall not give light; the sun shall be darkened in its going forth, and the moon shall not shine its light.

And all the host of the heavens shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled up like a scroll; and all their host shall wither, as a leaf withers off the vine, and as fruit falling from the fig tree.

I looked on the earth, and, lo, it was without form and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.

When I extinguish you, I will cover the heavens, and make its stars dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give its light.

He who made the Pleiades and Orion, and turns the deep darkness into morning, and darkens the day into night; who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out on the face of the earth, Jehovah is His name;

And immediately after the affliction of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

But in those days, after that affliction, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light;

the stars of heaven will be falling, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.

And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;

men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.

Then the fourth angel sounded: And a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened. A third of the day did not shine, and likewise the night.
