For it was also from Israel: The craftsman made it, but it is not God. But the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.

The inhabitants of Samaria shall dread because of the calves of Beth-aven. For its people shall mourn over it; also its priests shall tremble over it, over its glory, because it has departed from it.

Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, you who have escaped from the nations. Those who set up the wood of their graven image, and those that pray to a god that cannot save, they know nothing.

until Jehovah had removed Israel from before His face, as He had said by all His servants the prophets. Thus Israel was carried away from their own land into Assyria, as it is this day.

How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity; and those who scorn desire their scorning; and fools hate knowledge?

O Jerusalem, wash your heart from evil so that you may be saved. How long shall your vain thoughts lodge within you?

I have seen your adulteries, and your neighings, the lewdness of your harlotry, and your abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe to you, O Jerusalem! Will you not be made clean? How long will it still be?
