And Moses said, We will go with our young and our old; with our sons and our daughters, with our flocks and our herds we will go, for it is a feast unto Jehovah.

And Pharaoh summoned Moses and said, Go, serve Jehovah; only let your flocks and your herds be kept back. Let your little ones also go with you.

Our livestock also shall go with us; not a hoof shall be left behind. For we must take some of them to serve Jehovah our God, and even we do not know with what we must serve Jehovah until we arrive there.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to Jehovah, but the prayer of the upright is His delight.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination; how much more when he brings it with wicked intent!

Do not trust in lying words, saying, The temple of Jehovah, The temple of Jehovah, This is the temple of Jehovah.

With what shall I come before Jehovah, to bow myself before the loftiness of God? Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings, with yearling calves?

Will Jehovah be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

Then they shall call upon me, and I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me.

What good to Me are your many sacrifices, says Jehovah? I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of well-fed cattle; nor do I delight in the blood of bulls, of lambs, or he goats.

Bring no more vain sacrifices; its incense is an abomination to Me. I cannot endure the new moon and sabbath, the calling of assemblies, and the wicked festivals.

And when you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you. Even though you multiply prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood.

He who kills an ox is as if he killed a man; he who sacrifices a lamb is as if he broke a dog's neck; he who offers an offering is as if he offered swine's blood; he who burns incense is as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations.

Therefore Jehovah says this: Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry to Me, I will not listen to them.

You have wrapped Yourself with a cloud to keep prayer from passing through.

Therefore I also will act in fury. My eye will not spare nor will I have pity; and though they cry in My ears with a loud voice, I will not hear them.

I hate, I despise your feast days; and I will not savor your solemn assemblies.

Take away from Me the noise of your songs; for I will not hear the melody of your lutes.

Then they shall cry out to Jehovah, but He will not answer them. He will even hide His face from them at that time, because they have done evil in their doings.

You will seek Me and not find Me, and where I am you are not able to come.

I opened to my beloved, but my beloved had turned away and was gone. My soul went forth when he spoke. I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer.

And He withdrew Himself into the wilderness and prayed.
