Pardon the iniquity of this people, I pray, according to the greatness of Your mercy, just as You have borne this people, from Egypt even until now.

And may You hear the supplication of Your servant and of Your people Israel, when they pray toward this place. Hear in Heaven Your dwelling place; and when You hear, forgive.

then hear in Heaven, and act, and judge Your servants, to condemn the wicked, to bring his way upon his head, and to justify the righteous, giving him according to his righteousness.

then hear in Heaven, and forgive the sin of Your people Israel, and bring them back to the land which You have given to their fathers.

then hear in Heaven, and forgive the sin of Your servants, Your people Israel, that You may teach them the good way in which they should walk; and send rain upon Your land which You have given to Your people as an inheritance.

whatever prayer, whatever supplication is made by anyone, or by all Your people Israel, when each one knows the plague of his own heart, and spreads out his hands toward this house:

And so it was that when they had made an end of eating the vegetation of the land, then I said, Lord Jehovah, I pray, forgive. How can Jacob rise up? For he is small.

I say to you, Though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as much as he needs.

Awake! Why do You sleep, O Lord? Arise! Do not cast us off forever.

For our soul is bowed down to the dust; our belly clings to the earth.

We do not see our signs; there is no prophet any more; neither is there among us any who knows how long.

Why do You withdraw Your hand, even Your right hand? From your bosom, draw it out of Your bosom and exterminate them.

How long, Jehovah? Will You be angry forever? Will Your jealousy burn like fire?

Will You be angry with us forever? Will You draw out Your anger from generation to generation?

Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?

You will arise and have mercy upon Zion; for the time to favor her, yea, the set time, has come.

For Your servants take pleasure in her stones, and show favor to her dust.

Do not be greatly furious, O Jehovah, nor remember iniquity forever. Behold, please look. We all are Your people.

Our holy and beautiful house, where our fathers praised You, is burned up with fire; and all our pleasant things are laid waste.

Oh, do not remember our former iniquities against us! Let Your tender mercies come speedily to meet us, for we have been brought very low.

Why should the nations say, Where is their God? Let it be known among the nations in our sight, the avenging of the blood of Your servants which has been shed.

So the nations shall fear the name of Jehovah, and all the kings of the earth Your glory.

For Jehovah shall build up Zion; He shall appear in His glory.

Not unto us, O Jehovah, not unto us, but to Your name give glory, because of Your mercy, because of Your truth.

Why should the nations say, Where now is their God?

O Jehovah, though our iniquities testify against us, work for Your name's sake; for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against You.

We acknowledge, O Jehovah, our wickedness, the iniquity of our fathers; for we have sinned against You.

Do not abhor us; for Your name's sake do not disgrace the throne of Your glory; remember, do not break Your covenant with us.

But I acted for My name's sake, that it should not be profaned in the eyes of the nations among whom they were, in whose sight I had made Myself known to them, to bring them out of the land of Egypt.

to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved.

that we who previously trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.

to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known through the church to the rulers and authorities in the heavenlies,

O my God, bow down Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our desolations and the city which is called by Your name. For we do not make our supplications before You on account of our righteousness, but because of Your great mercies.

Pour out Your wrath upon the nations that have not known You, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon Your name.

Indeed, You are our Father, though Abraham does not know us, and Israel does not acknowledge us. You, O Jehovah, are our Father, our Redeemer; Your name is from everlasting.

The people of Your holiness have possessed it but a little while; our enemies have trampled Your sanctuary.

Why should You be like a man astonished, as a mighty one who cannot save? Yet You, O Jehovah, are in our midst, and we are called by Your name. Do not leave us!

For, lo, I am beginning to bring evil on the city which is called by My name; and should you be found clean and free from guilt? You shall not be without guilt, for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, says Jehovah of Hosts.
