Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather the satraps, the prefects, the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges and the justices, and all the officials of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

Now therefore, O Jehovah our God, I pray, save us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are Jehovah God, You alone.

Ascribe unto Jehovah, O families of the peoples, ascribe unto Jehovah glory and strength.

O bow down before Jehovah in the beauty of holiness! Tremble before Him, all the earth.

Jehovah, when Your hand is lifted up, they will not see; but they shall see and be ashamed for their envy toward the people. Yes, the fire of Your enemies shall devour them.

And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were bewildered, because everyone heard them speaking in his own dialect.

And how is it that we hear, each in our own dialect in which we were born?

Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya adjoining Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes,

So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, Whatever would this wish to be?

For the king, before whom I also speak freely, knows these things; for I am convinced that none of these things are hidden from him, since this thing was not done in a corner.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; nor shall the flame consume you.

quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became mighty in battle, turned to flight the armies of foreigners.

But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

And you will be hated by all because of My name.

But not a hair of your head shall at all perish.

Therefore I urge you to take nourishment, for this is for your survival, because not a hair will fall from the head of any of you.
