When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; nor shall the flame consume you.

Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the destructive pestilence.

You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day,

A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you.

Because you have made Jehovah, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place,

they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will be well.

But he shook off the creature into the fire and suffered no harm.

And who is he who will harm you if you become imitators of what is good?

But even if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods nor prostrate ourselves before the golden image which you have set up.

The Angel of Jehovah encamps round about those who fear Him, and rescues them.

Who has gone up into Heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son's name? Surely you know.

And the angel answered and said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.

The Jews answered him, We have a law, and according to our law He ought to die, because He made Himself the Son of God.

Therefore, when Pilate heard that saying, he was the more terrified,

and defined as the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.
