And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, and he called and said, Gabriel, make this one understand the vision.

Then the Angel of Jehovah answered and said, O Jehovah of Hosts, how long will You not have mercy on Jerusalem, and on the cities of Judah, against which You have had indignation these seventy years?

And Jehovah answered the angel who talked with me with good words, words of comfort.

to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known through the church to the rulers and authorities in the heavenlies,

To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from Heaven; things which angels desire to look into.

then I lifted up my eyes and looked: And behold, a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold from Uphaz.

His body was also like the beryl, and his face looked like lightning. And his eyes were like torches of fire; and his arms and his feet in color like polished bronze; and the sound of his words was like the sound of a multitude.

And, behold, six men came from the direction of the upper gate, which faces north, each with his shattering weapon in his hand. One man among them was clothed with linen and had a writer's inkhorn at his side. And they went in and stood beside the bronze altar.

And out of the temple came forth the seven angels having the seven plagues, clothed in pure bright linen, and having their chests girded with golden bands.

And the armies in Heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and pure, followed Him on white horses.

And he had a little book open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land,

Now when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from Heaven saying to me, Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them.

Then I heard a certain holy one speaking, and another holy one said to the one who spoke, For how long is the vision, concerning the regular sacrifice and the transgression of desolation, to permit both the holy place and the host to be trampled?

We do not see our signs; there is no prophet any more; neither is there among us any who knows how long.

And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?
