Then he went to the gate which faced east; and he went up its stairs and measured the threshold of the gate, which was one rod wide, and the other threshold was one rod wide.

Then he brought me into the outer court; and there were rooms and a pavement made all around the court; thirty rooms faced the pavement.

When the priests enter them, they shall not go out of the holy room into the outer court; but there they shall leave their garments in which they minister, for they are holy. They shall put on other garments; then they may approach that which is for the people.

Furthermore he made the court of the priests, and the great court and doors for the court; and he overlaid these doors with bronze.

And Jehoshaphat stood in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of Jehovah, before the new court,

And he built altars for all the host of the heavens in the two courts of the house of Jehovah.

crying out, Men of Israel, help! This is the man who teaches all men everywhere against the people, the Law, and this place; and furthermore he also brought Greeks into the temple and has defiled this holy place.

And all the city was in a commotion; and the people ran together, seized Paul, and dragged him out of the temple; and immediately the doors were shut.

Afterward he brought me to the gate, the gate that faces toward the east.

And the glory of Jehovah came into the house by way of the gate which faces toward the east.

Thus says the Lord Jehovah: The gate of the inner court that faces toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the Sabbath it shall be opened, and on the day of the new moon it shall be opened.
