Son of man, has not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said to you, What are you doing?

Say now to the rebellious house: Do you not know what these things mean? Tell them, Behold, the king of Babylon has come to Jerusalem and has taken its king and rulers, and led them with him to Babylon.

Then I said, Ah, Lord Jehovah! They say of me, Does he not speak parables?

And it shall be when they say to you, Why are you sighing? that you shall answer, Because of the news; when it comes, every heart will melt, all hands will be feeble, every spirit will faint, and all knees will be weak as water. Behold, it is coming and shall be brought to pass, declares the Lord Jehovah.

And when the children of your people speak to you, saying, Will you not show us what you mean by these?

From the days of your fathers, you have turned aside from My statutes and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you, says Jehovah of Hosts. But you say, In what way shall we return?

Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me. But you say, How have we robbed You? In the tithe and the offering.

Your words have been strong against Me, says Jehovah. Yet you say, What have we spoken against you?
